Only the signed and completed Z83 Form and a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae are required for this application. These documents can be obtained from any of the public service departments or the DPSA’s website.

All of the necessary documents, such as a certified copy of the applicant’s identity document, high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license, will be submitted by the candidates before the interview date.

In order to avoid disqualifying your application, you must first provide evidence that your foreign qualifications have been evaluated by the SAQA.


The applicant is also responsible for providing proof of the foreign qualifications that have been evaluated by SAQA. For instance, if you are applying for a position at SMS level, you must have successfully completed the pre-entry program endorsed by the National Security Guard.

A candidate must also have completed the Nyukela program, which is an online course that’s endorsed by the NSG.

The appointment process will not be conducted until the candidate has submitted the necessary proof and completed the pre entry certificate.

The shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical exercise that will involve testing the various technical aspects of the job.

After the technical exercise and interview, the selection committee of the organization will recommend that the candidates take part in a competency assessment, which will be conducted in compliance with the DPSA’s guidelines.
