Rand Water is searching for someone who can keep engine rooms, control rooms, battery rooms, restrooms, and switchgear room flooring clean. To report any dangerous acts and/or working circumstances to his or her Shift Supervisor.
Basic requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Related cleaning experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of water purification exposure will be advantageous.
- Blue Drop prerequisites: Water Purification Learnership will be advantageous.
Duties:
- Cleaning the engine room, electric pumps, flooring, control rooms, and basements.
- Fill sample vials according to laboratory and Senior Process Controller specifications.
- Help the Senior Process Controller with Clorine Cylinder loading and unloading.
- Help the Senior Process Controller in unloading ammonia off the tanker.
- Water sample bottle crates are loaded and unloaded into and out of the shift change van.
